Oh wow! Yes, I've been through there once before on my way out to Cape Breton. I had relatives in Kentville for many years as well! Part of me will always be in Canada; my mom was born in Yarmouth, so I'm at least half-okay.
that's awesome!! my hubby's family lives in Cape Breton (Sydney)..as a child I spent a year in a hospital in Kentville (it was called the children's sandatorium...where they sent really sick kids...when I was 4, I had tuberculosis)
what about your dad, was he born in the U.S?...does that mean you have dual citizenship?
Right on! I loved Cape Breton when I went there many years ago - the Cabot Trail had the most extraordinary views!
Aw, I'm sorry to hear that your experience in Kentville was when you were ill - what a shame. I hope you've not had any complications like that again.
Yes, my father was born in the U.S. - but I don't have dual citizenship; I once heard something about having to pay income taxes to both countries if you opted for that privilege...so I just never applied.
